Helmuth Builders has its roots in the Amish tradition of craftsmanship, excellence and hard work.  As a young man in his late teens who had just recently left the Amish lifestyle, Bill Helmuth got into the construction trade in the 1950's and within several years he was running his own carpentry crew framing houses.  As the years went by, Bill soon became a name synonymous with the framing industry in Columbus.  Many builders, architects and engineers began to rely on his ability to offer solutions to design and load bearing issues discovered on the job while also enjoying his excellent workmanship.

Having framed many homes in Murfield, Dublin, Upper Arlington and New Albany, Bill and his oldest son, Carl, began building custom homes on the west side of Columbus in 1995.  Eventually, Bill's other two sons joined in the business and they have been specializing in building fine custom homes, additions and remodels ever since.  Though Bill is gone now, his sons continue to use the skills they have learned to excel in bringing dreams to life.
